We take great pride in the hay we sell - Grown from our very own paddock and stored away from birds & pests.

Prior to the paddock being cut, it is walked through, with any stalky docks removed.  After cutting, fluffing up and at bagging this is repeated.
One of the last things you ever want in your rabbits, guineas & chickens is mite.  It is one of the hardest things to ever get rid of and is far easier to take the time to prevent it, than it is to try treat.  We find mite usually finds its' way into the hutches, coops etc where the hay/shavings have been brought in from open barns or open spaces, where birds etc just spread it around. For this reason prior to the new seasons hay being put into the container, it is fumigated to ensure there are no bugs lingering. The container is then kept closed.  If you are storing hay at home we would suggest taking care how much and where you keep it also.  An old shed could potentially be storing not only your hay but mite also.
