The Inflatable Collar is great as an alternative to the traditional Cone system.
The location of the wound needs to be taken into account when deciding if this particular item will suit your dogs situation - eg if your dog has a problem with its' front paw - it is possible it will still have access to chew.  However if the issue is further down the back or under belly then it is likely to be a very effective option.
